Overview

Secure Photo Vault ("we", "the app") is built so your private photos stay private. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and the control you have over your data.

Information we collect

• Account details — the email address or phone number you sign in with, plus your display name, bio and avatar if you add them. • Photos and captions — images you upload and any caption you attach to them. • Vault security data — your Secure Vault password, your answers to the three recovery questions, and a device credential identifier if you enable biometric unlock. • Usage data — basic, non-identifying information such as storage used and in-app activity needed to run features like the storage meter.

How we use your information

We use your information only to operate the app: storing and displaying your photos, unlocking your Secure Vault, enforcing storage limits, recovering access if you forget your vault password, and keeping the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

Your photos

Photos you place in the Secure Vault are private and are not shown to other app users. Uploads are compressed before storage to save space. App developers and administrators may access stored photos or account information only for safety, moderation, and legal-compliance purposes.

Biometrics

Face ID and fingerprint unlock use your device's built-in authentication. Your fingerprint or face data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to or stored by us — we only store an identifier that lets your device confirm the check succeeded.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual photos at any time, or delete your account from the Profile screen, which removes your profile and stored photos.

Advertising and payments

The app may display ads and offers an optional paid storage upgrade. Payments and donations are processed by third-party providers; we never receive or store your full payment card details.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including password protection and optional biometric locks on your vault. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please choose a strong vault password and keep it private.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
